Access Statement - With your safety in mind
Midsomer Cottage is a delightful holiday home, but like anywhere else it has its limitations, and is not really suitable for wheelchair access.
Its quirkiness includes a steep narrow staircase to the first floor, and a paddle staircase to the twin bedroom on the second floor. Navigational advice is “ Left foot first, and hold on to the handrail!” So the twin bedroom on the second floor is unsuitable for the very young or elderly.
Bedrooms are carpeted and bathrooms are tiled with travertine. There are two toilets on the first floor and one on the ground floor.
The ground floor is level from the entrance through to the living room, with wooden floors and rugs. There is a step down to the tiled kitchen, which leads to a level decked area with steps down to the gravelled garden.
Easy parking is on the street outside, or in the hotel car park opposite.
